Our History

Christ Resurrection Power Assembly (CREPA) is a multinational Church which commenced operations in Nigeria, West Africa, in November 1993 through God’s servant, Bishop Abiola Idowu. The Nigerian chapter started out with three people and has grown to a household name, with various branches all over that country today. The clarity of the word of God and the demonstration of His power has led to increased growth.
CREPA came to North America in August 2007 when the home church was established in Jacksonville Florida. Starting with just four people, the membership strength in Jacksonville has grown to well over 400 with more than 20 nationalities represented.

The answer to this question is simply because CREPA was birthed on these PRINCIPLES OF FULFILLMENT

The purpose of a thing is the reason for its creation. When the purpose is not followed, the reason for its existence is lost. You are welcome to CREPA, a place designed by God for your fulfillment and dominion on earth.
We are more than just a community of believers. We are the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, walking in love and grace, seeking first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness. We are not need-minded; we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places – Matt 6:33.
We seek the principles of the word of God – the love of Christ towards us is our foundation for faith and belief in CREPA. It’s not just how much we love God, but how much He loved us – and believing in His love, we love Him too – 1 John 4:10.
Operating under this covenant, three main things have been our operational principles of fulfillment
  1. Authority and Dominion
  2. Longevity in Christ Jesus
  3. Supernatural Supply

As a Believer, finding your identity in Jesus Christ is fundamental to your own personal salvation. Discovering your identity in Christ means discovering what Christ Himself says about who you are. Knowing who you are will enable to you to learn how to walk and live in the Authority given to you by the Covenant God made with Man at Creation. The complete understanding of your God-given Authority would empower you to take Dominion over the forces of darkness and all that comes your way.

Once your identity has been revealed to you, you would begin to understand your purpose. Your purpose is what God has sent you here to do for His Glory. Once you tap into your purpose and start living the way God has prescribed for His children, you will reactivate the eternal gene which was previously in you at creation but became dormant due to sin – disobedience caused man to die. Initially, man was supposed to live eternally, but when sin came in there was disruption in the eternal plan of God.
But when we come to Christ, the life of God comes within us to fulfill the purpose of God. So, if you have yet to fulfill your purpose, why should you die prematurely? You are not to die young because you are a child living under covenant. However, longevity is a product of living in the word of God.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21, reading from KJV – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” So we ought to learn to control our tongue. There is an expectation of a child of God as it relates to the language we use and manner in which we use our words. Through our words, we can speak life into our lives and into the lives of others. Like a beacon of light guides sailors to shore, we should be that beacon of light that guides others to God by our lifestyle and character.

As a believer living under Covenant, we are not designed to want for anything. 2 Corinthians 8:9, reading from KJV, the Bible tells us “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
Rich in this context does not mean Financial wealth alone; because it is possible to have all the money in the world, but it doesn’t mean you have peace of mind. Rich in this context includes, but not limited to, peace of mind; freedom from depression; freedom from fear; and freedom from worldly despair, just to name a few. These are some of the things knowing your identity in Christ, walking in purpose, and living in Dominion Authority provides to you as a believer.
